The concerts bring the internationally acclaimed Penderecki String Quartet together with autorickshaw, Canada's leading Indo-jazz ensemble for a world-premiere collaboration. Performing on their own and in combination with one another, the two groups will draw on a range of musical traditions including Western and Indian classical music, jazz, funk, and more. This concert reflects NUMUS’s ongoing commitment to reflecting the musical and cultural diversity of Kitchener-Waterloo (and Canada as a whole) and our commitment to fostering new forms of musical interaction and dialogue.
