The Labyrinthmaker Platform is a project founded by the Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble Wien®, one of Austria's pre-eminent chamber ensembles. For their NUMUS appearance, PLEW will consist of flutist Silvia Gelos and pianist Gustavo Balanesco. The intention behind the project is to promote creative exchange between the Pierrot Lunaire Ensemble Wien® and composers around the world, encouraging cultural production across national boundaries. Composers from five continents are involved in the 2008-2009 edition of the project, including Kitchener-Waterloo composer William Peltier.
