Reaching for Nothing is a full evening interdisciplinary work which radically transforms the space of the Perimeter Institute's Mike Lazaridis Theatre of Ideas into a four dimensional tapestry. Acclaimed composer Peter Hatch and award winning artist Dereck Revington have worked in counterpoint to create a dynamic field in which currents of the luminous, the auditory and the performative move through the audience like water into thirst.

Working in collaboration with renowned choreographer David Earle and some of Waterloo Region’s most celebrated performers of new music, Reaching for Nothing draws on poetic texts both ancient and modern, bridging east with west, the inside world with the outside, evoking the haunting enigmas of time through music, sound, light, video and dance.
